Responsibilities for Assistant Managers
Your responsibilities will include:
- Help ensure the smooth running of the restaurant
- Motivation of your staff
- Running the business in the absence of the General Manager
- Performing other management duties as directed by the General Manager
- Help create a friendly atmosphere and inviting for customers in your restaurant
- Maintaining financial controls in the business
You will manage all the staff in your restaurant. You will help ensure that your workforce are happy, whilst also making sure they are doing their jobs efficiently. You may have to manage the bar staff as well as the restaurant staff.
You will be expected to work late at night at least five days a week, sometimes more. You will often be the last person in the restaurant to close up at the end of a night. Typically, the assistant manager role commands a reasonable salary plus bonuses and offers a fun working environment, with great prospects of progression.
